From India and from the New Age: the spirituality…
…but also the “false prophets” and the risk of moral subjugation

I think it’s important to say that the content of this article doesn’t want to represent a gratuitous polemic against what is happening today, but its author is looking for the “good” and for the “honest” that could stimulate a correct consideration, by increasing the quality of life at all levels: material, mental and spiritual. It is fruit of my direct experience: since many years I’m dealing with Yoga, Ayurveda, Indian culture and phylosophy and, consequently, I appreciate the concepts of Indian phylosophy.
Anyway I did not want to renounce the free capacity of judgment. On the contrary, considering this last statement, I confirm that the discriminative capacity is a gift of God to which we don’t have to renounce.
I have pointed out that the scientific and spiritual Indian disciplines are today very widespread, by hook or by crook, in our Country, renewing in some person the hope to see their dreams, sometimes utopian, come true, even becoming the basis of numerous pseudo modern movements that define themselves as spiritual.
We can state that some of us, by birth, really needs to nourish their abstract part, and the Indian culture, with its philosophic interpretation of the manifestation, can partly bring relief to these people but, in general, also to the components of a society that is prey of distressing materialistic needs, dissatisfactions and insecurities of every kind.
I’m aware that India is useful in paying attention to the spiritual substance of the manifestation and in giving it the dignity it deserves.
This helps us to feel alive, not only in the senses but also in the conscience. In fact, I state that the Indian experience is first of all an experience of conscience.
The way that waits for the researcher of this culture is a classical: the same that, generally, is purposed by the oriental meditation. First of all the state of attention is aroused, then the state of awareness (this level would distinguish us from the animal kingdom, but I have my doubts about it) and at the end we learn to live with satisfaction the self-conscience. Nothing to say about that. Wonderful! But there is a reverse of the medal: India, that in the West is seen as a spiritual master, at its home is having an exactly opposed path, showing a strong interest for the matter.
This makes me think that man won’t find, neither in this occasion, his solution. When the India falling in love will be over, he will have to put the knapsack over his shoulder again and re-start to walk to the mountain’s summit, searching for a really high prospective that allows him to contemplate both the orient and the occident that become a third experience, including the positive part of them both.
Once more I feel to affirm that the future universal religion, the religion of the religions, could have a name that sounds like “the unity in the diversity”. Obviously, I mean the unity of the best…of a diversity that doesn’t scare, simply because the different does nothing but affirms the infinity, quality that we always attribute to the transcendent god that permeates everything.
In my opinion, the Indian modern view presents some limit. Some “personage” is considered, or considers himself (that is even worse), divine by birth. In this excess of interpretation transpires the thin deceit and there are different dangers… First of all, and here the Indian culture is a real master to us, we all are divine by birth. I cannot accept that God could consider that a man is closer to Him than another one. This is the usual human interpretation. At most I can think that somebody can mature a more objective view, to be more precise a less involved one.
But let’s go back to these “personages”: because of my personal past experiences, I don’t really like them, because there is nothing of democratic in them. I ask myself if a part of the humanity went mad. Even the peoples of Occident, in spite of the little esteem that we have for ourselves, walked a long and useful way of social achievements to free us from dictators, monarchs and other subjective views, searching for a more universal view that we called democracy, and today we would like to go back.
In other words, we choose to practice a larger view, that only the multitude of consciences can give, that also seems to me to be more secure on the way of the objective judgment, and today we let them to be the “false prophets” that endanger our democracy, cost great sacrifices and sometimes even blood.
In the past this kind of charismatic visionaries, convinced to be in the right (this is why they are visionaries), as it was foreseeable, did real masterpieces of disaster. Their best weapon, in good or bad faith, has always been the exercise of undue influence over a person.
The dictators never obtained anything without  “to force” over the others’ mind. So, dear reader, be aware of forcings, both spiritual and material ones! We have to think we are lucky to feel fallible and mortal, with the benefit of the doubt, equipped with love and modesty, searching for an objective truth that we know we’ll never be able to achieve because of the human constitutional limits. It’s just this conviction that makes us being careful, respectful and humble people.
Think of what a sadness would be the contrary: be closed in a behavioral cage carried out by an unnatural conduct, false certainties or illusions as these “false prophets” do; in good or bad faith, they have nothing of anti-violent because they still didn’t understand that, even only try to influence another person, it already is a violent and disrespectful attitude.
