The neurosis of the driving license-in-points
With all respect for Institutions, we have to say
that some political decision does not bring only improvement,
but sometimes a general uneasiness that increases the state of
anxiety that today we have to consider as a out-and-out social
disease.
Anxiety, as I already stated in many occasions, is a consequence
of the state of conscious and unconscious preoccupation for the
future. In occasion of the decision of the “driving license in
points”, I noticed a serious worsening in the nervous system’s
health of many people. I asked myself different questions, also
because, as a driver, I feel directly involved.
First of all, I have to say that, generally, I stand up for
discipline. Discipline, anyhow, always in my opinion, has to be
a consequence of a sort of comprehension or evolution. But I’m
surely contrary to the discipline that comes from any form of
repression.
For the first form, a bigger care is required, from institutions
and from educators and the presence of sensitive and evolved
subjects, disposed to be exemplary. To repress is surely more
appropriated to involute people, but, even if we boast to have
reached a good grade of evolution, we often see repression.
Drivers know that very well, but maybe they don’t know that
there aren’t only duties, but they also have rights.
From an economic point of view, as people consider today, I
state that the driver really pays much to have a little, and he
also has senses of guilty. We pay car tax, automobile insurance,
high taxes on petrol, mechanics, parking, etc. and the car is
becoming an example of how we live the illusion and the deceit.
I think that everyone, at least once, asked himself, after
suffering three or four hours of queue in highway, if it is
right to pay a toll for a service that we didn’t enjoy. At least
once, we asked ourselves where the money of petrol taxes goes,
instead of giving us the right of a free parking, the only
concrete way that could bring us to use the car less than we
usually do. At least once, we asked ourselves if to put hidden
“autovelox” is not an immoral humbug.
I can go on for hours, but I deal with serenity and health, I
can say I noticed, at the presence of the “driving licence in
points” an increase of nervous diseases, especially in weak
subjects. Today, as we know, and thanks to the quality of life,
lot of people have a fragile nervous system.
Finally, I ask myself if the people who deal with
these “things”, even only for a moment, care about public
health.
